Osberton Horse Trials is offering the eventing stars of the future a chance to compete for some of the highest prize money offered anywhere in Britain.

Thanks to the increased sponsorship of Oakham Veterinary Hospital, there is more than £2,000 prize money to be won in the In-Hand Classes, with the overall champion taking £500.

The five classes for Mares, Foals, Yearlings, Two and Three-Year-Olds respectively are a showcase for potential top eventers. The judges will be looking for young, athletic horses that have the conformation and show the movement in walk and trot to make a top class Event horse.
The classes take place on Thursday October 2nd, the first day of the international Osberton Horse Trials competition (October 2-5th), at Worksop, Nottinghamshire.
Osberton Event Director Stuart Buntine, of BEDE Events welcomed Oakham’s support.

“We are delighted to be able to offer the highest prize money awarded for In-Hand classes anywhere in the country and we are very grateful to Oakham Veterinary Hospital for making this possible.

“These classes have grown in popularity in recent years and together with the KBIS British Eventing Young Horse Championships, offer a great opportunity to celebrate the young equine stars, which is what Osberton is about,” he said.

Oakham is a long established equine hospital with purpose built facilities and an extensive range of diagnostic equipment. It is also a clinical associate of the University of Nottingham Vet School. Together they provide the highest level of veterinary care and expertise as required by our RCVS Tier 3 hospital status. A complete equine veterinary and stud service is available.
